The Chinese State Postal Bureau issued a set of
three speical stamps on January 29, 2000, with a combined face value of

The Spring Festival is the most important traditional
festival of the Chinese people. People will travel great distances to
return home to celebrate it; in some ways it is also a family reunion.
At the eve of the lunar new year, all family members gather together,
greet each other and enjoy a splendid meal, the last one of the old year.
Eating dumplings in the first day of the new lunar year is a custom in
the most parts of the country and the tradition is still popular today.
